MyCCR

To log into MyCCR please click here (NOTE: Use your UBIT username/password)

What is MyCCR?

MyCCR is an account management dashboard that allows users to reset their password, change their preferred email address for receiving CCR communications, and see what CCR resources they have access to. Current faculty users can view a list of which users are in their research group, as well as request new accounts and removal of old accounts. MyCCR also provides an easy account request process for new faculty and staff research users. Future updates to MyCCR will also allow users to request project space and quota changes and request file restoration services from backup.

Logging into MyCCR

a. When you initially navigate to the MyCCR website you will be prompted to enter your UBIT username and password. This is authenticating you as a valid UB user. If your UBIT and CCR passwords are different, make sure you're entering your UB password for this login. This is what the UB login page looks like:

b. You must be on a UB network to utilize this website. If you are off-campus, please use the UB VPN client to establish a connection on the UB network. To download the VPN client, visit UBIT's website.

NOTE: If the UB login takes a long time (more than 20 seconds) the MyCCR application will fail to retrieve your user information and you will get an "Access Denied" error message. If this happens, close your browser and try to login again in a few minutes. Occasionally, the UB servers can not respond fast enough to login requests.

Navigating the MyCCR Dashboard

When you login to MyCCR your dashboard page provides sections for your contact information, UNIX group membership, resources you have access to, and a link to your personal job statistics (MyStats).

This is what the MyCCR dashboard looks like:

About Me

Email Address - This section lists the email address we have on file for you. All downtime notifications and CCR status will be emailed to this address. If you would like to change your preferred email address, click on "Update my profile" and enter your email address. Please note that we are not responsible for non-delivery of email. We highly recommend you leave your email address set to @buffalo.edu so you continue to receive all downtime notifications.

Reset Password - Click on "Change my password" if you'd like to easily reset your password for all resources connected to our central authentication system. The majority of our clusters, web portals, and PI systems are in this system. There are a few legacy systems that can not be migrated. See our New Account FAQ for more information on this. To change your password you must enter your current password and select a new one. If you can not remember your password, click on "Forgot your password? Click Here". You must click the "Reset my password" button on this page and your password will be reset immediately. You will receive an email with a temporary password that you'll be required to change within 48 hours. If you do not do this, your account will be locked and you will need to email ccr-help@ccr.buffalo.edu to have your account reinstated.

My Groups

This section lists all UNIX groups you are a member of. Some allow sharing of data (i.e. your primary group membership) while others are used to permit login to different resources. If you would like to have access to additional resources or if you feel this page is reporting incorrectly, please email ccr-help@ccr.buffalo.edu. Students: your faculty advisor, instructor, or PI must request additional resources for you.

CCR Resources

This section lists what clusters and web portals you have access to. Detailed information about each system can be found by clicking the link next to each resource name. If you would like to have access to additional resources or if you feel this page is reporting incorrectly, please email ccr-help@ccr.buffalo.edu. Students: your faculty advisor, instructor, or PI must request additional resources for you. There are also links to our frequently asked questions web page and other important information.

MyStats (UBMoD)

MyStats is an easy-to-use web-based tool for monitoring machine utilization. You can monitor your resource utilization at CCR, including CPU cycles consumed, total jobs submitted, and disk storage, on any or all of CCR's compute platforms. Faculty members can view all utilization for their entire group. More information...

For FACULTY users only:

Faculty users will also have a section labeled "User Accounts." You will see a list of active user accounts that are in your research group. Those whose primary UNIX group is your research group usually mean they are students or post-docs working for you. You have full ownership to any data they create or store on CCR systems. You may request these accounts to be deactivated or removed at any time, regardless of the student's status at UB. Other users you may be collaborating with or CCR staff members assisting you with utilizing our systems may be secondary members in your UNIX group. You may request these users be removed from your UNIX group, but you have no control over their accounts or data. If you have any questions regarding this, please contact CCR Help.
